They have worked hand in hand with resin suppliers to develop the new Versital ECO range making sure it will work perfectly for all projects that have an ECO requirement.

What is rPET Resin?

rPET Resin is manufactured from post-consumer waste. Made using 100% bottles that would be destined for landfill. In order to produce 1 tonne  of rPET resin, 4200 bottles are reused. This avoids the disposal of huge quantities into landfill or destruction by incineration which brings its own air pollution issues.

Typically, Versital has been manufactured using the highest and clearest grade of resin which is a water clear formula. Recycled resin is a different colour to our usual raw material, and a beautiful new colour range has been developed to take advantage of this.

Versital is fully bespoke and made to order with very little waste.  This offers the dual benefits of being both good for the environment and also being cost effective. To this end, Versital Eco price point is the same as their regular product. This eliminates any additional cost as a possible barrier to using a more environmentally friendly option. Moulds are reused and remade for the same reasons, again giving very little wastage.

By using cultured marble, they have been able to create natural looking materials without the inherent problems that quarried and mined finishes have. Versital is stain and waterproof. Together with the hygienic benefits of a gel coat protection layer it also includes an antibacterial additive in the gel coat layer.  Benefits which are especially important to clients in the hospitality sector.

This product not only looks good, but will also stand up to the practicalities of use in often challenging and busy environments. The surfaces are hard wearing and easy to keep looking new long after installation. The life span of Versital products is long – surfaces can be re-polished and refurbished years after installation to keep them looking good. This not only makes it a good investment, but also offers a longer life span.
